My name is Kristian Harsted-Simonsen, and I am the owner of Harsted Antik located at Store Kongensgade 94, 1264 Copenhagen.

To me it’s very special holding a thing in your hand, that has a story behind it – whether it’s a 200 year old glass or a classic lamp. What matters is, that some things have long histories and beautiful designs. And it’s important to me that these things come out of the cabinets and drawers, so they can get new life in a modern context. Georg Jensen did not design jewelry, cutlery and table ware for it to be hidden on a bottom shelf.

Among several other exciting things I have mainly put Danish glass on my shelves. I've made it easy for you to complement your collection of crystal glass, Holmegaard glass or other well-known glass factories. Do you know Fyens Glasværk or Kastrup? Danish glass is a very special thing, made for the people, opposed to most foreign glass, which was reserved for the rich upper class of the past. I will be delighted to tell you more about this in my store.

Have you inherited a collection of glass from your grandparents and has its numbers declined? Has the dishwasher given them glass disease? Perhaps you want to start a new and modern collection or something else entirely. Regardless, the selection is big in my little store and you are welcome to stop by and let yourself be tempted by my many beautiful things.

My store opened up in December 2016, but my interest in antiques goes further back. When I was young, I started attending Copenhagen’s flea markets, and in this time I became particularly interested in ”the white gold” – better known as porcelain. Especially the classic Blue Fluted by Royal Copenhagen caught my interest and is today amongst my greatest passions. These and many other sets are displayed in my store, so come on in and get lots of inspiration for your home.
