Knipling red wine glass

Sold

Height 15.5 cm.
Knipling was first drawn in 1922 by Oluf Jensen for Royal Copenhagen as a glass to fit the Blue Fluted dinnerware. The glass was sold in a decorated version and this smooth version. The decorated version is with a blue fluted decoration and is today extremely rare.

The glass was relaunched in 1982, this time with Michael Bang as designer, as minor adjustments were made to the design.

The glass has an optical twist in the cuppa as the only decoration.
