Modeste soda glass

Modeste is one of Holmegaard Glassworks' import services from 1917, from the Belgian Val Saint Lambert. The glass is taken out of production during the 1930s, after being produced in Denmark a few years after the First World War.

The glass is mouth-blown crystal glass with an etched decoration, a guilloche in the shape in the form of an a la grecque-bort with a double acanthus leaf in between. Notice that thise have an optic in them. We have never seen this before.

Modeste must be described as being the rarest service from Holmegaard.
