Schmidt-Cassel exhibited his first sculptures in Berlin. In 1910 he received his first commission, a large equestrian statue of Peter the Great. He also drew the figure of Emperor Friedrich III. on Boltzeplatz which is exhibited in Grodzisk Wielkopolski in Poland.
During the 1920s, he drew a series of sculptures of exotic dancers in the new Art Deco style, where he had a particular focus on the small, fine details.
The figure is in perfect condition with a fine patina. The plinth has a notch on the back.
