Beautiful micromosaic depicting Soso's pigeons from 100th century Greece.
The motif is widely used in both Greek and Roman decoration of private villas and art.
It is seen in Emperor Hadrian's Villa.

The brooch is in a gilded frame and has unfortunately lost its eye to the needle, the frame is a little crooked and the stone with the mosaic is a little worn. Please see the pictures.
