Bio:
Bertil Vallien (b. 1938) is one of Sweden’s most internationally acclaimed glass artists. After studying at Konstfack in Stockholm, he joined Kosta Boda, where since the 1960s he has created groundbreaking works in studio glass, sculpture and decorative arts. His work ranges from functional glass objects to monumental artworks, and he is regarded as one of the leading figures in modern Scandinavian glass art.
