Rare and early three-piece coffee set comprising a coffee pot in sterling silver together with a sugar bowl and creamer in 830 silver. Elegantly hand-hammered with curved bodies raised on circular feet. The coffee pot has a handle with exotic wood inserts. Model 88. Made in 1919.

Bio:
Georg Jensen (1866–1935) was a Danish silversmith, sculptor and designer who established his own silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904. His early silverwork is characterised by hand-hammered surfaces, organic forms and a close relationship between function and craftsmanship. Jensen developed a distinctive vocabulary rooted in the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements, which became highly influential in Danish silver design and established his workshops international reputation.
